Using Andrea's story as inspiration, Rachel designed this brand identity to reflect the growth & changes of pregnancy and birth.
Matrescence Australia is a full spectrum birth doula service that provides education as well as physical and emotional support to birthing people no matter the outcome of pregnancy.
This brand is a legacy to Theo, Andrea’s son. What began with loss found it’s way to understanding and helping others. Helping birthing people and partners understand the
physiological components of birth and any birth interventions through education and allowing them to engage in informed decision making is a huge part of what Matrescence does. By providing emotional and physical support during pregnancy and attending their labour & birth, Andrea cares for birthing people and their partners throughout the journey.
While Andrea places trust in those who give birth to care for their babies needs before there own, it is Andrea who is there to mother the mother.
